A loan helped to buy artificial fertilizers and get ready for the next season.

Jelena's story

Jelena is 26 years old, married, and a mother of two children, a one-year-old and a four-year-old. She comes from the Serbian minority community. The only income for her family comes from agriculture; she and her husband are involved in planting and selling vegetables for a profit. She is satisfied with this income from agriculture even though she said it "would be better if I had a better equipment which would help me to plant more and sell more.” For this reason, she has applied for a Kiva loan to buy artificial fertilizers and get ready for the next season. She is thankful to all Kiva lenders for their support.

This loan is special because:

It supports excluded and displaced populations in Kosovo.
