Isatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 35 years old Isatu from Waterloo branch. She is married with four children between the ages of 3 and 16 years old and all of them are attending school. She started this business to support her family.

Isatu runs a retail business and sells clothing, soap, toiletries and other assorted items. She has been in this business for the past 5 years. Her other source of income comes from her husband’s business. Her main challenge is slow sales during this COVID 19.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase clothing, toiletries, cosmetics and other assorted items to increase her business. Isatu says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and her family's welfare. In the future, she would like to establish the larger scale business. She says thanks to Brac and Kiva for their support.
