A loan helped to pay for farm supplies, including fertilizer, to grow more crops on her farm.

Francisca's story

Francisca, a 55-year-old mom, is an intelligent woman who has adopted modern farming methods. Her childhood was very challenging, and because of this, she promised herself that she would work hard to get out of poverty. She strives to ensure that she is able to meet the basic needs of her family. As a mother and a caring woman, Francisca is very focused on sustaining her family.

In the today's world, agriculture has become very dynamic. The methods used in this sector have been improved and farmers need to use high-quality supplies to be successful at what they do.

Francisca is seeking a loan for 40,000 Kenyan shillings (KES), which she will use to pay for farm supplies, including fertilizer, to grow more crops on her farm.

It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm. With your help, Francisca will be able to buy the supplies she needs to expand.

Francesca will invest a significant portion of the profits she earns back into the business to allow for growth. She wants to set a good example and build a solid foundation for her children.

Francisca thanks Kiva lenders for their support. You can fuel her future by helping fund this loan request.
