A loan helped a minority woman owned business in purchasing better equipment, and expanding her brand.

Latifah's story

I am a 29 year old mother of three, for years I felt as though I didn't have any talent. In 2018 I gave birth to two premature baby girls they were so tiny they couldn't fit any headbands, I began to create my own for them. My family and Facebook friends loved my creations and were interested in purchasing them. From that moment I began making money from home, I enjoy creating things for children I made skirts headbands and t-shirts. I did so well that I was able to upgrade from making head bands to making children's puzzles keychains and custom signage. In November of 2019 I was able to quit my job after 5 years at greater Baltimore medical center to stay at home with my children fulltime. My children and fiancé motivate me, I do believe that time is priceless and my business allows me to be home to spend more time with my family.
