A loan helped to buy farm supplies.

Chanthy's story

Mrs. Chanthy B., age 31, and her husband, Mr. Chanra Khem, age 39, have been married since 1993. They have four children, two sons and two daughters. One of their children works in a garment factory, two attend school, and another one is still very young. The family lives along National Road Number five about 17 kilometers from Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia.

Chanthy and her husband are farmers who grow vegetables and mushrooms. She does not have enough capital to purchase seed, fertilizer and pesticides to maintain her vegetable and mushroom farm, so she is asking for a loan of $1,000 to supplement her capital.
