Fanta's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! Meet 28-year-old Fanta from Wilberforce Branch. She is married and has a 7-year-old child who is attending school.

Fanta has a general store, selling provisions and other assorted items. She has been in this business for four years. Her other source of income comes from her husband. Her main challenge is slow sales during COVID 19.

Fanta requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more stock to increase her business. She says that the extra income earned through this loan will help to improve her business and take care of her family.

In the future, Fanta would like to establish a larger store. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support!

This loan is special because:

It provides access to funding in areas where there are limited alternative sources of finance.
