Florence's story

Florence is a farmer growing ginger in Paata ,Wakiso district. She farms on 5 acres in the same village with 3 acres rented to increase production.

She harvests between 100 and 150 sacks of ginger per acre. Her general sales are enticing for a good harvest and in a good season.
The pandemic affected her sales, since there where no transport means to reach her customers in Kampala markets, where she earns most of her profit.

This financially constrained her forcing her to use the available profits for family expenses. The situation has got better since lock down has been lifted and she intends to revitalize her business again.
