Mariam has four children who go to school. She is a weaver and has been making quality traditional pagnes [traditional wrap cloth] at hers in suburb of the capital for 15 years.
This is her 7th loan cycle with the microfinance institution Yikri. She is requesting a loan to buy 20 bales of weaving yarn and dye in order to weave many traditional pagnes and meet her clients' demand.
She wants to use the profits to reinvest into her business and build savings to take care of her family. She encourages everyone to protect themselves from COVID-19.
