A loan helped purchase of plantain plants and fertilizer.

Santosa's story

Santosa is 35 years old. She lives with his four children and Antonio, her husband of 40 years. Her family works hard every day to improve their lives.

Her daily motivation are her children, and for their sake she and her husband have been working for 10 years growing citrus fruits, corn, and coffee on their land. What she likes most about his job is seeing the plants grow and then sell them at a the market in his city. Santosa says, "Transporting our products is difficult, but it is profitable. Our children don't lack anything, so as parents we are satisfied because they lack the necessities like we did." In the future she wants to produce more plantains and start to raise chickens.

This is her third loan with MFP, and he is happy to be working with the community bank because she feels capable of achieving progress with these loans. She has been careful protecting his credit history. She will use the loan money to buy 200 plantain plants and three bags of fertilizers.
