The "Santa Lucia " communal bank is made up of selfless women from Carapeguá who work to meet their goals. They are in their sixteenth lending cycle with the Women's Committee Program. All of the members are working to improve their families' qualities of life.
One of the communal bank members is señora Asela. She makes her living sewing. She works every day, starting early in the morning. She makes bedspreads, tablecloths, and woven carpets. Asela says that her work has allowed her to help support her family and to give them a dignified life that meets their needs. Asela is a selfless person who looks for ways to improve her situation and to continue giving her family all the best.
Asela says that during the crisis that has crossed the world because of the spreading Covid-19 pandemic, her sales have decreased immensely. This has affected her income and her work. Consequently, she cannot meet her obligations. Asela is requesting this loan so she can invest in purchasing thread, sewing frames, needles and other supplies so she can keep working and meet her obligations.
Add: Only one person is in the above photo, but this is a group loan. Taking a group photo wasn't possible because of needing to avoid large gatherings during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this group: Norma, Asela, Emilia, Sandy, Estela, Carmen, Lucia, Alejandra, Silvia, Sixta, Delfina, Gladys, Susana, Regina, María, Juana, Carmelina, Gabriela, Erasma, Felipa, Liliana, Rosy, Celfiria
