A loan helped me to keep my business running but can help me grow and expand.

Naima's story

I am a former refugee African woman from Somalia. I am a mother of 3 young children. I obtained Masters in Social Work from the U of U in 2015. Upon graduating from my Masters I worked as Refugee Childcare Program Coordinator whereby I trained refugee women to become in home childcare. I am currently working at the DWS-Refugee Services Office as a Community Social Worker and provide trauma informed care for refugees in Utah. My experiences have been my motivation and passion that led me to open a daycare business. Many clients that I work with work in the evenings, weekends which they don't have access to traditional childcare options. I want to help working mothers to have access, affordable quality childcare services.
