A loan helped a member to buy a supply of oil, tomatoes, flavoring and flour to expand her initial capital.

Mapatano Group's story

Jeanne is a client of the MFI Hekima and heads the Mapatano "banque villageoise". She is a 42-year-old widow and mother of two children, both of whom are independent.

Jeanne sells groceries, a business she started in 2005 with startup funds from her revenue-generating activities. Later, she got involved in the Hekima program to support her business, and has gradually developed ever since. She will use this new loan to buy a supply of oil, tomatoes, flavoring and flour, which will increase her initial capital. The challenge of her business is related to the fluctuating exchange rate.

Jeanne would like to be able to feed her family. She wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to unbankable companies during this Covid-19 global crisis. The photo includes only the group leader because of Covid-19.
