A loan helped to start her own stationery business.

Aisha's story

Aisha is a 20-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in the Agona East District of Ghana. Aisha is requesting a Kiva loan to start her own stationery business. Aisha plans to reinvest her profit into the business. She will repay her loan with ‘social interest’ by volunteering two and half hours per week as a member of the CAMFED Association, leading life-skills sessions for students in local schools on topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path, and active citizenship.

This loan is special because:

It provides 0% interest loans to entrepreneurs that give back to their community by mentoring.
