Maria Esther is a 28-year-old mother who lives with her husband and a son in the hamlet, Pomape, a rural area dedicated mainly to agriculture, located in the district of Monsefú, known nationally for its tourist-religious festivities, located twenty minutes from the town of Ciclayo.
For the past ten years she has been working in activities related to raising cattle, she has four milking cows, three are producing at the moment. The milk is being sold among her neighbors and she also sells to a wholesale buyer in the area who resells the product to a dairy processing plant.
At the same time she works with her husband at farm work. They plant forage for the animals and eventually other kinds of crops such as tubers and cereals. In this opportunity they grow sweet potato and "chala" corn (a variety of corn used as forage for animals) with which they plan to feed their animals appropriately and obtain additional resources to get ahead.
María Esther wishes to complement the diet of their animals with balanced food in order to produce more milk. Therefore she needs to request, for the first time, a loan of 500 nuevos soles from Edpyme Alternativa.
She is a mother who gives her best at her work to make her family get ahead. In the area where she lives she is very appreciated and respected. Her neighbors and friends consider her a woman to be trusted, who is always willing to help where needed. In the photo she is showing us her crop of sweet potatoes and in the background her cows are on grass.
