A loan helped to buy a cow to sell milk.

Leonardo's story

With a view to providing for all his family, Leonardo has made a living growing coffee, corn and beans for a long time. He is helped by his uncle, who taught him how to work the land inherited from his grandparents.

With four people to take care of, he is the cornerstone of his household, given that he fulfils each one of his life goals for the development of his family's financial wellbeing.

He was able to invest the previous loan in maintaining his crops. He is knocking on MiCredito's doors once again, along with Kiva, in order to buy a cow and sell milk.

In the near future, he hopes to buy more cattle to sell and become a successful micro-entrepreneur.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Elaine Berry de Pulido.

This loan is special because:

The repayments are aligned with harvest season.
