Maksad's story

Maksad is a resident of Gonchi, Tajikistan. She is 56 years old. She is married and the mother of five children. She has a secondary education. Maksad is a seamstress and has worked in this area for more than 6 years. She tries to provide her family with the best conditions in life.

Maksad is also a weaver and has learned to produce products in Atlas silk. She plans to open her own workshop; however, she does not have start-up capital.

Maksad is a returning borrower and has a positive credit history. She is asking for a loan for the fifth time with Kiva’s partner IMON. With part of the loan amount, she plans to purchase silk thread. With the other part, she plans to open a workshop, where she will be able to weave Atlas silk.
