Salamata is the mother of four children, two of which are school age. She weaves and sells pagnes (traditional cloth) in a neighborhood on the outskirts of the capital. She has managed this business for 7 years.
This is Salamata's fifth loan cycle with Yikri; she has repaid all her previous loans without difficulty.
With this new loan, Salamata plans to purchase 5 bobbins of weaving thread and 3 bobbins of metallic and dyed thread in order to weave pagnes, which she will sell to satisfy customer demand.
The revenue from her sales allows Salamata to reinvest in her business and save in order to provide for her children.
