This group is made up of seven women who share strong ties of solidarity and mutual aid. They live in the same village. When the banc villageois was set up in their area in December 2012, they seized the opportunity to join. Mainly, they work in small business.

Madame Awa is sitting on the far right in the photo with her hand raised. She is the representative of the group. She is 37 years old, married, and mother to six children. The three youngest daughters are younger than three years old.

Madame Awa has a small vegetable business. She enjoys several years of experience in this work. With this new loan, she is planning to buy bags of cabbage, carrots, cassava, and eggplant to resell them in the markets in her area.

With the profits, she is planning to strengthen her savings, develop her business, and provide for the needs of her children and herself.
