A loan helped to buy fertilizer for her crops.

Reyna Priscila's story

She lives in the community of Esperanza Arriba.

Her main activity for several years has been agriculture and growing coffee. She has several manzanas [one manzana is about 1.72 acres land] of bananas which are distributed throughout her farm. She also has manzanas of corn and coffee. From these activities she earns enough to cover family and household expenses. She is requesting the loan to buy fertilizer and compost for her crops.

Her dream is to have her crops well fertilized to achieve production.

This loan is special because:

It has a below-market interest rate and is repaid at harvest, when farmers can more easily repay.
