A loan helped to buy leather and accessories to make shoes.

Juan Antonio's story

Mr. Juan Antonio is from the city of Ybycui, where he lives in Bº Santa Rosa. He started his shoe business in 1999.

Over the years, the productivity of his business was not going well, so his children had to emigrate to another country, with the goal of sending money back. After some time, he agreed to buy a dairy cow, and he began to sell milk to his neighbors. Later, he bought another cow; he now has five cows, thanks to the help of his children. With these cows, he is able to provide milk to his entire neighborhood.

At the same time, he continued to work in his shoe store, and with time, he began to produce more. He is requesting a loan from our institution to buy materials to make footwear for students, since this type of merchandise sells well at this time of the year.

He is thankful to Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva for their support and for their continued confidence in him.
