A loan helped to restock her store with noodles, biscuits, canned foods, flour and other goods.

Prudence's story

Prudence is a 28-year-old woman and single mother of two children. The family lives in a community outside Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island. For the past year she has run a small, local general store which is stocked with rice, noodles, biscuits, canned foods and other goods.

Prudence joined SPBD this year to gain access to financial services for her business. She has requested a loan, her first, to restock her store with noodles, biscuits, canned foods, flour and other goods. She plans to use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and improve her business.
