Bernadette is a Haitian immigrant woman who arrived in the Dominican Republic fourteen years ago. She came with her husband in search of economic improvement.
The plight of poverty in which the neighboring country of Haiti is submerged makes many of its citizens have to go to other countries in search of better living conditions.
Bernadette started selling clothes, such as dresses, skirts, pants, shirts among other things but over time her sales were not going well and she decided to change and put up a business selling kitchen utensils, such as plates, glasses, strainers, forks, spoons, knives , scrub soap, containers etc.
With this business Bernadette says she is doing much better with the earnings and reaches many people.
Bernadette dreams of seeing her business grow and give her family a better quality of life. Bernadette is requesting this loan to buy new merchandise and stock her business.
