Svetlana is 54 years old, married, and has three children. She is in the photo with her youngest child. She has a secondary education, and is ambitious and responsible. Since 1995, she has been engaged in animal husbandry and crop agriculture for her family's main source of income. Thanks to Svetlana's persistent hard work and her son's help with the farm, at present her farm has a cow, 10 sheep, and a land plot of about 3.76 hectares on which she grows beans.
In order to further develop her farm, Svetlana has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 220,000 som (KGS) to purchase land in order to grow organic beans. The funds from the loan will help Svetlana to expand her farm and build a house.
