02_ Ilyao Group's story

This group of 17 members, joined the [banc villageois] when it was established in July 2019. It is comprised of women who are determined to change their living conditions. They all live in the same village and share ties of solidarity and mutual support. Their main business is selling basic pantry goods.

Mrs Mari (standing on the right with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is married. She is 54 years old and mother of 2 children.

She runs a business selling basic goods (rice, sugar, palm oil and various other products).

She plans to use this loan to purchase 2 bags of 50 kg of rice, 1 canister of palm oil, 1 bag of sugar and various products. She will resell them in her village.

She will use the profits to contribute to household expenses (clothing, medical care, clothes etc...) and increase her savings.
