Sokkai's story

Sokkai, 56, lives with her husband. She is a farmer in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She typically earns barely enough to meet her family needs.

She would like to increase her income through agriculture, but does not have enough capital to cover her goals, so she decided to request a loan of $1,500 from Kiva to purchase additional farming materials, fertilizer and cassava to support her agricultural activities.

She believes that by taking this step, she will be able to add farmland and expand to increase her daily income and better support her family.
