06_Gabar Group's story

This group is composed of 24 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and helping each other. They live in the same village and seized then chance to join the banc villageois when it opened in their location in May 2010. Their main jobs are in small commerce and agriculture.

Oulimata (standing on the far right of the photo with the raised hand) is the representative of the group. She is 56 years old. She is married and the mother of nine children, four of whom are adult women. She works growing market vegetables, such as onions and other vegetables. She benefits from experience in this occupation, having practiced it for many years.
With this new loan she counts on developing her field by buying seeds and fertilizer.

With the profits from this business, she will build up her savings, satisfy her needs, and strengthen her business.
