A loan helped to buy basic goods to expand business.

Julia Isabel's story

Julia is the mother of a family who lives with her husband and daughter in the district of Guadalupe. Guadalupe is a costal area in the Pascasmayuo province, in the region of La Libertad, which is located an hour and ten minutes from the city of Ciclayo, the capital of the Lambayeque region.

For a year and a half she has made a living selling groceries and basic goods from a bodega set up in her home. This business provides an income to help her support her family since her husband is disabled and the pension he receives does not cover the family's bills.

Her business is doing well because she always tries to offer good quality products and she treats her customers well. Her efforts are getting results and demand is increasing, therefore she has decided to expand her business by increasing her stock of basic goods. In order to do this she is taking out her first loan of 1000 soles from "Edpyme Alternativa."

Julia is a woman who is very dedicated to her business and is always looking for a way to help her family get ahead. Her greatest desire is to keep helping her family get ahead and offer her husband a better quality of life.
