A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase her headcount of cattle and sales of organic milk.

Gulukan's story

Gulukan is 29 years old, married, and has two children. She has a higher education and works as a teacher in a local school. She is hardworking, purposeful, and entrepreneurial by nature. She is familiar with agricultural technology and knows how to invest resources as needed. Since 2009, she has been involved in animal husbandry as a supplementary source of income for her family.

Thanks to her hard work and commitment to her business, she was able to develop her farm with 2 cows, 15 sheep, 4 horses, and a land allotment of 1.2 hectares where she grows alfalfa. In order to further develop her farm, Gulukan applied to Bai-Tushum Bank for a loan in the amount of 250,000 KGS to purchase dairy cows so that she can increase her sales of organic milk and revenue from raising livestock. Gulukan plans to invest the revenue from the loan in further developing her farm.
