A loan helped to buy seed and fertilizer, in order to grow organic produce.

Mamura's story

Mamura has successfully repaid her previous loan and is grateful to Kiva and to all who helped her with that financing. Her farm presently consists of a 2.6-hectare plot of irrigated land on which she grows watermelons and cotton. She also has five cows and 30 sheep.

To develop her business further, Mamura has again turned to Bai Tushum Bank, this time for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS), with which she will buy fertilizer and seed in order to increase her income from growing organic produce. The income generated by the loan will help Mamura increase her livestock headcount and buy a vehicle.
