A loan helped to buy more groceries to stock her store, to buy some pigs to raise, and to buy food for the pigs.

Damaris's story

Damaris is 48 years old and lives in the municipality of San Luis de Since. She’s a responsible mother who has two children who she loves very much. She has become a great entrepreneur. She has a small grocery store and she also raises pigs.

She started her businesses three years ago, and she’s been doing very well, especially after getting a loan funded through Kiva, which helped her be more productive, so she’s very motivated to keep moving forward and to keep looking for success.

She lives in a town in post-conflict. There’s a lot of poverty and not many job opportunities, so being an entrepreneur is the best way she has to help her family. She wants to keep pushing forward so she’s asking for a new loan to buy more groceries to stock her store and to buy some pigs to raise and food for them.
