This group, which consists of seven members, was started in November 2017. The members are experienced in the businesses they operate and share strong bonds of solidarity. They live in the same village and their main business is market gardening.
Madam Khady, who is on the right side of the picture with her hand raised, is the leader of the group. She is 62 years old and operates a market garden. She grows onions and sweet potatoes. After the harvest, she retails the products in her neighbourhood.
This funding will enable her to buy nursery stock in the fields located in the village and to develop her business. She wants to use the profits from her sales to help her husband and her children meet the daily expenses.
In this group: Khady, Aminata, Rokhaya, Soukeyna, Fatou, Fatou Binta, Magatte
