Tsevelmaa's story

Tsevelmaa is 30 years old and lives with her husband and two sons, ages 6 and 3, in Harhorin province, Mongolia. She and her family live together in a ger, which is a traditional Mongolian nomadic tent. They have been living together in their current home for five years. Her husband, Bathuu, is 32 years old and a herder.

Currently, Tsevelmaa operates a clothing trading business at a local market called Manlai Tod. She has been operating her business since 2005, and has steadily expanded her business. She started renting an extra counter in 2009. Her business profit is high during the summer months, from June to September, but is low from March to May. Tsevelmaa has good communication skills and she is focused on the future. She is requesting a 3,200,000 tugrug (~ 2,251 USD) loan to purchase more inventory for her business.
