Domingo S. is from the village of Rizal in Cauayan City, Isabela. She is 55 years old. Domingo is the leader of a 10-member loan group sponsored by ASKI. Although each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are collectively responsible for repaying the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.
Domingo is married and has 4 adult children. To make a living, Domingo sells vegetables in the local community. Domingo has been engaged in her business for over 25 years and earns approximately 4500 PHP a month from these activities.
In 2008, Domingo joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Domingo is requesting a new loan of 15000 PHP to purchase new items to expand her product offering. This will be Domingo's fifth loan from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her business.
