A loan helped to get important raw materials and tools for her handicrafts home-based business.

Layla's story

Layla is a 49-year-old, Jordanian, married woman and a mother of three children. Layla has been facing many challenges in her life since the day she lost her husband, as many responsibilities where thrown over her shoulders. Insisting on raising her children well was what motivated her to start her handicrafts business.

Layla is an ambitious woman, too, and she wants to continue supporting her business by getting important raw materials and tools, but she lacks the financial ability so she decided to ask for a 600 JOD loan to get the needed goods and to continue supporting her business. She aims through her project to enhance their living situation and support her family.

This loan is special because:

It empowers the most vulnerable and marginalized women in Jordan.
