A loan helped to buy a power supply system to help her pump water to her greenhouse to produce good vegetables and increase her family income.

Aguenesse's story

Aguenesse is a 38-year-old Mozambican woman. She lives in Nkhame, Tete Province. Aguenesse is married and she lives with her husband and their five lovely children.

Aguenesse is passionate about agriculture. She has worked in the field since she was young and she learned with her parents the best practices for agriculture.

When she got married, she continued working in agriculture with the support of her husband. Together with her husband, Aguenesse produces grains like maize, common beans and soybeans to sell in the market.

In the beginning of 2019, Aguenesse attended training about horticulture and got interested in producing vegetables. To invest in horticulture, Aguenesse and her husband, with the assistance of a project in Nkhame, acquired a tropicalized greenhouse.

Now her main challenge is getting water to irrigate the production inside the greenhouse. For this reason, Aguenesse is requesting a Kiva loan to buy a power supply system to help her pump water to her greenhouse to produce good vegetables in order to increase her family income.

This loan is special because:
