This group was created in May 2012. It is made up of 5 members who share strong ties of solidarity and mutual support. They live in the same neighbourhood and work in trade.
Madame Dieynaba, (the woman raising her hand on the right side of the photo), is the group's representative. She is married and the mother of two boys, aged 16 and 5.
She trades in textiles, women's clothing, and notions. She acquires her supply of fabrics in neighbouring countries and returns to sell her products locally, where she has a shop.
She plans to use this new loan to purchase fabrics, women's clothing, and notions. The profits will allow her manage some of her household expenses and enable her to grow her business.
