07_ Dar Sal 1 Group's story

This group was created in 2013 when the banc villageois was set up. The group consists of three women who live in the same neighbourhood and have good relations of solidarity and mutual support. Most of them work in small trade.

Coumba, to the right of the photo with her hand raised, is the representative. She is 52 years old, married, and mother of six children including five girls. She works in restauration, particularly the sale of takeaway dishes. She gets her supplies at her local market and has a point of sale next to a service station.

With her loan, she plans to buy food products and other products for her restaurant. The profits from her work will enable her to build up her business to make it the biggest restaurant, but also to support her children in their education.

In this group: Coumba , Ndeye Khady, Seynabou
