COOPAC Norandino is a rural savings and credit cooperative that supports Fairtrade, certified organic farmers who have limited financial resources and market access. Loans funded on Kiva help COOPAC Norandino to continue growing its organic coffee and cacao portfolio and to fund a new loan product for members to develop rural microenterprises to smooth and diversify producer household income.

For direct loans, borrowers apply through the Kiva website and may or may not be endorsed by a Trustee. A Lending Partner's average loan size is expressed as a percentage of the country's gross national annual income per capita. However, these same loans are generally more costly for the Lending Partner to originate, disburse and collect.
