A loan helped a member to stock up on secondhand clothing in bulk.

Donel Group's story

Ms. Concilie is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the solidarity group named “DONEL”; she is 59, a widow, and the mother of eight children (two in school, five who have finished, and one deceased).

A vendor of secondhand clothing, she started this enterprise when married with startup funds from her now-deceased husband. Later on, she got involved with the Hekima program to support her enterprise and has been working progressively since then.

With this new loan, she will stock up on used clothing in bulk. And this will bolster her initial capital. The business challenges have to do with a limited customer base.

She would like her children to go to school, and she would like to renovate her house. So, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash.

In this group: Concilie, Sylvie, Gertrude, Esther, Furaha, Pauline
