A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase her cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Asilbu's story

The 56-year-old Asilbu is a widow with three children. She has a secondary education, is familiar with agricultural techniques, and knows how to use resources for their intended purpose. She has been raising livestock since 1981, and this is her family's main source of income. Thanks to Asilbu's hard work, her farm presently consists of eight cows, 60 sheep, five horses, and 1.5 hectares of irrigated land on which she grows wheat.

In order to develop her business further, Asilbu has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 250,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows. Her aim in this is to increase her sales of organic milk and her cattle-breeding income. Asilbu is planning to put the income generated by the loan into the ongoing development of her farm and the improvement of her family's well-being.
