Kuña Guapa Group's story

The “Kuña Gaupa” Committee is an association of women with a desire to get ahead through hard work in their businesses. Each is involved in her own activity, as well as being involved with the group. The group receives mentoring from “Fundación Paraguaya” and they learn how to run a business, creating revenue, and planning.

Olga is one of the members. She is a single mother with one 17 year old son who attends school. Olga has been a very active artisan for the past 20 years and would like to use the money from this loan to buy supplies such as fabrics, thread of various colors and types (yarn, fine thread, thread for borders, thread for sewing, etc). These supplies will allow her to improve her artisan work as well as enable to produce more items to satisfy demand and improve her income.

Olga is very helpful within her community and was instrumental in forming this group and providing its members with the opportunity for obtaining loans.
