A loan helped a member to buy used clothing wholesale to increase her initial capital.

Eloire Group's story

Madam Therese is a client of the Hekima MFI and is the leader of the Eloire borrowing group. She is a 46 year old married mother of 9 children, 6 of whom are in school and 3 of whom are still in infancy. Her partner is a tradesman. She sells used clothing. She started the business in 2004 with start-up funding that she received from Hekima through the borrowing groups, and her business has evolved progressively.

With this new loan, she will buy used clothing wholesale and also increase her initial capital. Her biggest challenge is to purchase good quality merchandise.

She wants her children to go to school and she also wants to buy a plot of land. She thanks Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to business owners who cannot access bank funding.
