A loan helped a member to buy clothes to sell.

Maqsoodan's Group's story

Maqsoodan is a very active lady. She operates a clothes-selling business in the community. Her clientele base is her neighbors. Once a month she goes to various bazaars of Lahore, especially “Ichra & Azam market,” for purchasing new clothes. Her income allows her to share the financial burden of her husband. Her husband's name is J. M. and he works in a factory at a meager income. She is applying for a loan to buy seasonal clothes to expand her clothes-selling business and to fill the orders from her customers.

She has four other ladies in her loan group. Zahida wants a loan to buy items such as cosmetics and a hair dryer for her beauty salon. Parveen wants a loan to buy scrap for her scrap business. Another Parveen wants a loan to buy a sewing machine for her sewing clothes business. Nazir begum wants a loan to buy a dairy cow for her dairy business.
