Sebastiana Narcisa's story

Sra. Sebastiana M. is married and has five children. She sells handicrafts such as earrings and steel rings. Her most prosperous sales are made during the holiday season. Sebastiana and her husband leave on their holidays to the main trading point in Salinas (a beach in the Province of Guayas in Ecuador) where they stock up on products from the city of Guayaquil. For five years she has been in this business, which has helped to support her family.

Sebastiana previously worked at home. Her mother-in-law, who worked several years in the same business, helped her and convinced to join Fundación ESPOIR when there was no work available outside of the holiday season. When the holidays came around, Sebastiana still had to work from home. Her greatest dreams are to continue with her business, expand it, and improve it with the help of Fundación ESPOIR and her family. Her husband and children give her the strength to continue believing in what she does.
