The group “Cristo Rey” (Christ the King) is led by Liliana Martha and consists of ten members, nine women and one man. They have similar business activities selling products by catalog. Sra. Guilfa is a member of the group who is a hardworking single mother with four children, one of whom is already a professional while the rest are in school. Guilfa is a dressmaker. She makes high-quality clothing for women and has a good clientele. In addition, she sells cosmetics through a catalog. Guilfa receives assistance from the father of her children with a monthly pension to help pay for their education. In the future, she hopes to produce garments in large quantities so that she can sell them in bulk and ship them to other provinces. This will generate more income for her to support her children.
The rest of the group is involved in selling school materials, groceries, products from Argentina, cosmetics, or providing services such as health care and transportation. They expect to continue working and rely on financing in order to achieve their goals. Most have experience in their respective fields, so they are not afraid of competition because they have customers who demand their products and services. The members are also very dynamic and quite sociable.
This loan will be used as operating capital because demand has increased and they need funding to purchase supplies and merchandise. Most of the members have previous experience working with solidarity loans, so they know how to handle and manage the funds to their benefit in order to grow their businesses and support their families.
