A loan helped to buy mulch for her coffee plantation.

Teo's story

Teo is married with three children, all of whom go to school. She is into agriculture, focusing on coffee growing as her main source of income. Teo is a proud farmer because apart from earning income, she is transforming lives within her community by providing jobs to the residents.

During harvest, she sells the coffee to traders in Mpigi and Kampala. With the money she earns, she supports her husband with the children's school fees and other daily expenses. In a bid to improve her farming, Teo has applied for a loan of 2,000,000 UGX from UGAFODE, to mulch her coffee plantation.

She is hopeful that the quantity of her farm yields will improve, which will attract competitive prices, thus bringing in more income. However, the unpredictable price fluctuations are still a challenge to her venture. Teo appreciates all funders for their financial support in helping her improve her farming.
