Rosa Maribel's story

Rosa is single and lives with her three children who are aged 17, 10 and 7 years old. Rosa earns a living making hammocks and bags from thread. Through the sales of her product she generates the income to support her family. She learned the weaving trade with her family. She works from Monday to Saturday from 7 am until 7 pm. Her advantage in her business is that her children help with the production so she can meet the demand from her customers.

She has decided to request a loan to buy silk and polyester thread and with these materials increase her production of hammocks and bags. The investment will be of help to strengthen her business and obtain more earnings and in this way she can improve the family's living conditions.

Her dream is to grow her business, get ahead with her children and give them the opportunity to better themselves academically.
