Zulfiya's story

Zulfiya is 60 years old and lives with her husband and her three children in Istaravshan, Tajikistan.

She was born into a family of farmers and is engaged in farming on a small plot of land. She has been doing this for 10 years and is helped by her husband and her children in this business.

Zulfiya is preparing to sow cotton, potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins, maize and a variety of vegetables. She requested a loan to buy cotton, wheat seeds and mineral fertilizers to work the land and to pay the hired workers. She will mix the fertilizers with the soil and start to plant the crops. Zulfiya hopes to finish sowing and get a rich harvest for the next season.

She is a returning borrower and has positive credit history. She is asking for a loan for the seventh time with Kiva’s partner IMON. She hopes to have your support.
