Monica's story

I grew up in a small suburb outside of Philadelphia. I was born an artist and an entrepreneur. When I was a child, all I did was create, paint, bake, make paper shoes and write poetry and stories. I also designed product catalogs. I would go door to door with my red wagon selling my handcrafted art including stationery sets and oil paintings. I even had a "made in America" stamp. As an adult, I owned a small jewelry/art shop and continue that online. I've worked in marketing and graphic design for the past 15 years. I create to better people and the Planet. I believe a peaceful and safe Earth is possible for everyone and I believe part of that cure is feeding the people real food and making people feel good from the inside out. I lived in Seattle for 4 years, which I believe changed me and brought me a lot of healing. I wanted to bring some of that healing back to Philadelphia. When a dream hits, I don't think much about it, I follow what I need to do. In the US, people and children need healthier options. We need food that is created in small batches, packed with nutrients our bodies and minds need. We need beauty.

As a young girl, I did not take very good care of my body nutritionally. I want to educate people, especially children on the importance of what goes into their bodies. I want people to notice how certain environments and foods make them feel.

I want to show my daughter and children the joy that can come from eating well-made foods that make us feel good. I want to show her that living your dreams is possible, even with chronic illness, pain and fatigue.
