A loan helped a member for vehicle maintenance and repair.

Wiñay Muju Group's story

The “Wiñay Muju” communal bank is represented by Primitivo and is made up of 10 members, 3 of whom are men and 7 are women. It is a very unified and hard-working group as was demonstrated in their previous loan cycle where they always demonstrated responsibility and group unity with their payments.

The group president has two trufi taxi routes (taxis that travel routes and pick up several passengers that share the ride) that he works in daily from Monday through Saturday. He is a divorced, father of three children for whom he is the sole caretaker. He is a very hard-working, responsible person who does the best for his children.

He will use the funds to service one of his vehicles because it is breaking down and, not having it in working order, translates to one less full dinner plate at home. The person who helps Primitivo the most is his mother, who cares for the children.

The rest of the members are involved in various commercial activities, like: sale of food, shoes, beauty products, beverages. They all have high competition to face so they put great effort into their work in order to obtain good results.

The funds will be used to innovate and, in some cases, to increase stock merchandise and ingredients; some will repair work tools in order to obtain better income for the support of their families and the wellbeing of their children, who are the motivating force behind their wanting to continue working.

In this group: Primitivo, Monica, Javier Alberto, Leidy, Bernardo Jose, Emiliana, Patricia, Mirian, Nancy Norma, Rosalia
